JACKSON, Mo. -- Anna Dean Lohman, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She had lived at Monticello House in Jackson the past two months.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. John Rice will officiate. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Anna Dean was born Feb. 1, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles E. and Laura McDowell Riemann. She and Wilbert "Wib" Lohman were married Dec. 8, 1939, at Old Appleton, Mo. Wib passed away May 14, 1981.
Loving survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne and Maria Lohman of Germantown, Tenn., Robert "Bob" Lohman of Jackson; three grandsons, Justin Lohman and Nick and Colby Lohman; a sister, Mary Lou Bollinger of Park Hills, Mo.; and a brother, Charles Riemann Jr. of Paducah, Ky.
Anna Dean attended Central High School. After she and Wib were married, they owned and operated the former Lohman Trucking of Friedheim and Jackson, and in the early 1950s they established Wib's Drive-In at Jackson. In 1960 they established the former Lohman's Shoe Store and in 1979 sold it to their son Bob.
Anna Dean was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and its Dorcas Circle. She enjoyed playing cards with her many friends.
