Group promotes cooperation in the community

To the editor:

The recent program of the Area Wide United Way and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program was met with praise. It gives the community much to be grateful for. The support and effort is certainly to be admired.

The Volunteer Inter-generational Center has thus far created an interest and sparked a great deal of enthusiasm among various age groups, which shows promise of a continued interest and expansion.

How kind and generous of the United Way to support and fund this fine project, which I am sure will continue in its growth, interest and cooperation.

Without question, this project aided by the management and encouragement of the appointed 12 board members will be a key resource for volunteer development in the community.

It comes at a time when it appears to be right to promote kindness, understanding, cooperation and the needed encouragement among the people of the community whose goal and desire are to make this project the success they wish and strive for.
