Karen Kay Wene and Jason Alexander Cladis exchanged vows April 20, 2002, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Charles Prost performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Valerie Schaefer, flutist was Misty Massa, and soloist was Mary Richards, all of Cape Girardeau. Reader was Clay Wene of Midland, Texas, brother of the bride.

Ron and Ginny Wene of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of James Cladis Sr. of St. Louis and Kenneth and Debra Statler of Marquand, Mo.

Maids of honor were Jill Wene of McDonough, Ga., and Jennifer Wene of Little Rock, Ark., sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Roxanne Brown of Jackson, Mo., and Stacey Young of Portageville, Mo.

Shane Barrett of Marquand, Mo., served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Winder of Marquand, Jason England of Fredericktown, Mo., and Jason DeSpain of Oklahoma City, Okla. Ushers were Clay Wene, Robert Winkelman of Fredericktown, and Nick Brown of Jackson.

Giftbearers were Beth and A.J. Hambuchen of Conway, Ark., aunt and uncle of the bride.

Amanda Sechrest of Marble Hill, Mo., attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Drury Lodge.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 19 in the church fellowship room.

Mrs. Cladis is a registered nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The groom is an ironworker with Local 782 in Paducah, Ky.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
