'Tunes at Twilight' features showcase for songwriters

Thursday, May 30, 2002
More than 150 fans attended last weekend's "Tunes at Twilight," sponsored by Old Town Cape. The Jerry Ford Orchestra played to the Common Pleas Courthouse gazebo crowd.

The weekly concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Fridays at the gazebo.

On schedule Friday is the Songwriter's Showcase, which will include a variety of area songwriters and musicians.

Tunes at Twilight will continue through the summer. Other June concerts include the Broadway tunes of Earl Johnson and Fred Goodwin, with Don McNeely on June 7; fiddler Steve Schaffner and pianist D. Irwin on June 14; bluegrass band Coyote Creek on June 21; and the Christian contemporary group Manna of Cape Bible Chapel on June 28.
