SIKESTON, Mo. -- This year's Sikeston Public Library's Mother-Daughter Tea will be from 1 to 3 p.m. May 5 at the library.

The program, geared toward girls in grades 2 through 5, will be on quilt patterns and presented by Ginger Miller and Amanda Fritz.

Mothers and daughters at the tea will fabric paint a quilt pattern to be pieced together and displayed in the library. Guests will be served tea and cake.

Door prizes will be given away, and the girls will receive quilted book mark crafts to make at home.
