Erma Ellinger

Our loving wife, mother, daughter-in-law, and grandmother, Erma Lee Eakins Ellinger, left us to join our beloved God on Wednesday, April 17, at 3:46 p.m.

She was born April 4, 1934, to Edward and Zelma Eakins in Gordonville, Mo. On Oct. 22, 1954, she married Frank Thomas Ellinger at Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City, Mo.

She retired from Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, Mo., where she had worked as a machine operator.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Frank; mother-in-law, Allene Ellinger; daughter Cindy and son-in-law Don Crews, daughter Lisa and son-in-law Mike Schaefer, daughter Karen and son-in-law Mark Asbridge, son Roger Ellinger, son Ryan and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ellinger; grandchildren Amy, Brandon and Terra Crews, Jessica and Courtney Schaefer, Ryan Ellinger and Justin Asbridge; her special great-grandsons Ethan Kinder, Cole Ellinger and Bradon Lueders.

Also lovingly survived by brothers Claude Eakins and Scott Eakins; sisters Monola Senn, Oma Dell Clark, Virgie Kies, Louella Fiegel, and Rosie Dreyer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, father-in-law, three sisters, and three brothers.

Erma Lee never knew a stranger. She loved to meet new people and enjoyed traveling to as many places she could and seeing many great things. She loved her flowers and enjoyed being outdoors.

We will celebrate her life with visitation from 4-8 today, and funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Larry Lawman will officiate. Burial will follow in German Evangelical Cemetery near Dutchtown, Mo.
