Harry Lloyd Skinner, 79, of National City, Calif., and a native of Jackson, Mo., died Friday, March 1, 2002.
He was born Oct. 22, 1922. He is survived by his wife, Violet Skinner.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired as a master chief after 38 years in the Navy.
He was a member of Post 6874 of the VFW and Fleet Reserve 61. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
He also is survived by a daughter, Terry L. Kneipp of El Cajon, Calif.; a son, Harry F. Skinner of Bonita, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Walters of Kentucky and Daisy Niswonger of Missouri; four brothers, Ray Skinner, Jim Skinner and Warren Skinner, all of Missouri, and Joe Skinner of Arizona; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel in Bonita.
Entombment with military honors will be at Glenn Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita.
