Bush's budget funds priorities with restraints

To the editor:

I support President Bush's budget.

No, it's not perfect. But it's better than the budgets we've had for a long time.

Whether it's for my own family or for the federal government, budget priorities have to be set. And President Bush's budget restrains government spending by funding priorities while holding government accountable.

If this budget passes, it will increase our security and increase support of health, education, the environment and Social Security. And it will bring us back to budget surpluses quickly -- if Congress can restrain itself from overspending.

I urge all of my neighbors to support the president's budget.
