DORENA, Mo. -- David Pickett Ray, 61, of Brunswick, Ga., died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 9, 1940, at Dorena, son of Edward and Imogene Spence Ray Jr.
Ray moved to Brunswick 33 years ago from Dorena. He retired as foreman at Concrete Products in Brunswick.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie; a daughter, Lisha Ray of Concord, N.C.; five stepsons, Joel, Darrell, Glenn, Michael and Kenneth Brantley, all of Brunswick; three brothers, Larry Ray of East Prairie, Mo., John Ray of Anniston, Mo., Jerry Ray of Festus, Mo.; a sister, Karen "Sissy" Tatum of Anniston; a grandson; nine stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
