MORLEY, Mo. -- Claude Lee Lovel, 80, of Morley died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 28, 1921, in Blodgett, Mo., son of the late Arthur and Emma Wood Lovel. He and Velma Elsperman were married May 18, 1946, at Benton, Mo.
Lovel was a ginner at the Vanduser Gin Co. and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary Dye of Jackson, Mo., Claude A. Lovel and James D. Lovel, both of Morley; two daughters, Peggy Frohock of Jackson and Sharon LeGrand of Maryland Heights, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morley Baptist Church. Freewill Baptist Church pastor Howard Anderson will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery.
