BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Bob L. Beal, 82, of Bloomfield died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
He was born Dec. 2, 1919, at Kinder, Mo., son of the late Fred and Alice Gillespie Beal. He and Inah Aslin were married June 30, 1941, at Piggott, Ark.. She died June 23, 1983.
Beal was retired from highway construction, having worked as a superintendent for Porter-Dewitt Construction Co. in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and later R. Clinton Construction Co. in Sikeston, Mo. He was a member and past master of Bloomfield Lodge 153, A.F and A.M., a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Valley of St. Louis, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and past Worthy Patron of Bloomfield Chapter 385 of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Stoddard County Central Committee, having served a number of years as county chairman.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Gard and Ann Bye, both of Bloomfield; a sister, Christine McCullough of Sikeston; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery east of Bloomfield.
