LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Donald Hearnes, 91, of Little Rock, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at the Southwest Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born July 19, 1910, in Moline, Ill., son of the late Earl Boyd and Edna May Eastman Hearnes. He and Gwen Moxley were married Feb. 4, 1938.
He was employed with the Missouri Highway Department, the U.S. Corps of Engineers and the Ozarks Regional Commission until his retirement in 1980.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Moxley Hearnes and John Boyd of Little Rock; a daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Albright of Little Rock; a brother, former Gov. Warren E. Hearnes of Charleston; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the North Little Rock Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Ark., from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
