OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Lucreta Paulette "Polly" Burrow, 57, of Oak Ridge died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1944, at Cash, Ark., the daughter of James Richard and Louise Vernor Tanksley.
She married Clark Burrow on Jan. 30, 1964, at Conway, Ark.
Polly was known for her dedication and devotion to her family, friends and her church, the United Church of God in Cape Girardeau. She also had a love for photography and was rarely found without a camera in hand. Her pictures were published on numerous occasions in the Southeast Missouri Hospital Calendar.
Polly put her whole heart into everything that she did, including her work. She spent many years as an X-ray technician at Orthopedic Associates and as an X-ray/Mammography technician at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was recently awarded the H.B. Niswonger Award because of her service to patients at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Louise Tanksley of Many, La.; sons and daughter-in-laws, Christopher Alan and Heather Burrow of Cape Girardeau, and James Aaron and JoDee Burrow of Smithton, Ill.; daughter and son-in-law, Julie Ann and John Reilman of Trenton, Ill.; a brother, Lowell Richard Tanksley of Mineola, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Larry Wortham of Jonesboro, Ark., Jimmie and Dale Pierce of Canton, Texas, and Lisa and Brian Kritzell of West Hills, Calif.; and eight grandchildren, Andy, Jamison and Jenna Burrow, Alex, Adam and Anna Reilman and Mallory and Clark Burrow.
She was preceded in death by her father, an infant brother and an infant sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at the Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas, Ark.
Mr. Roger West and Mr. David Johnson will officiate.
The family requests memorials be made to the United Church of God Building Fund.
