Teen-ager wants safer world to pursue dreams

To the editor:

I'm only 15 years old, but I have an idea. Why doesn't Congress shut the mail system down for a week or two and have investigators search the mail in all the facilities? If people are smart, they will be more worried about their lives than their mail.

Officials said our security systems were good, but they have let terrorism spread this far from Washington, D.C. I don't feel safe anymore. No one will be safe anymore if they don't do what is right.

I'm just a girl who has a good head on her shoulders and knows what she is talking about, even if people don't think I do. But I want to live and have a family and grow up to be another woman in history. I want to get a good education and have a good job and be a leader. But if someone doesn't do something, I'm not going to get to live that out.

How would you feel about your kids or family not living out their dreams? Think about it and try to stop this terrorism. Difficulties are what make this nation stronger. We need to do something and make a stronger nation and show the Afghans who is boss.
