Harry Gibson Jr.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Harry Leroy Gibson Jr., 62, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at his home.

He was born July 15, 1939, in St. Louis, son of Harry Leroy and Dorothy Irene Nelson Gibson Sr.

Gibson was a member of Bethel AME Church. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two sons, Jean Gibson of St. Louis, Andre Gibson of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Betsy Ferguson of Marquand, Mo., Sophia Mathis of Indiana; a friend, Sharl Smith of Sikeston; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery at Dexter, Mo.

Friends may call at the chapel from noon until time of service.
