Civil Air Patrol Trail of Tears Composite Squadron Cadets Earn Promotions

Five cadet members of the local Civil Air Patrol Squadron, Trail of Tears Composite Squadron, completed the requirements for promotion during September or October 2022. Cadet E. Thiele completed requirements for Achievement 1 earning the Curry Award and the rank of Cadet Airman. Cadet Airman S. Jones completed the Achievement 2 earning the rank of Cadet Airman 1st Class. Cadet Airman S. Gers completed both Achievement 2 and 3 earning the rank of Cadet Senior Airman. Cadet Airman 1st Class N. Harris completed Achievement 3 earning the rank of Cadet Senior Airman. Cadet Master Sergeant L. Ragain completed Achievement 6 earning the rank of Cadet Senior Master Sergeant. Promotions were celebrated on Sept 22, 2022, October 8, 2022, and Nov 3, 2022.

Two cadets were named Cadet of the Month for September and October. Cadet Airman 1st Class S. Jones earned the recognition of Cadet of the Month for September. Cadet Staff Sergeant P. Allred earned the recognition of Cadet of the Month for October.

About Missouri Wing

The Missouri Wing of the Civil Air Patrol is composed of over 800 members organized in almost thirty units located throughout the state. Assets include eight single-engine aircraft, twenty-two vehicles, and extensive communication equipment. The wing conducted four search and rescue missions, twenty-six training missions, as well as nine other state and federal support missions, in 2021 and was credited with two finds.
