Stolen Navy Blue GIANT Cypress 2008

PHOENIX CYCLE Logo from Carbondale IL

Hello! I have been trying to get the word out about my bike that was stolen on 12/17/2020 around 3:30pm. It was a Giant Cypress Navy Blue bike that is worth $500. I have reported it to the police, but I have heard no information about my bike and it's becoming frustrating. Sunday (12/20/2020) I was coming off the bridge and turned right onto Sprigg St. right at house number 515, the man who stole my bike was showing it off. I pulled over to Rhodes Gas station and called the police. While on the phone, the man recognized my car, rode my bike over to me and waved while showing off my bike. I immediately saw the Carbondale Shop Logo on the bike and verified that it was mine. I tried so hard to get my bike back, but he got away. The Cops did question the man at the house, but he said that he didn't know the man by name... he only sees him when he shows off his new things (even though they were looking pretty chummy with each other). I have been driving up and down the streets every single day, I have put out word on the swaps, I have people out searching and calling to make reports if they see it, but I still have yet to hear anything from the police. Is there a way you can share my story and help raise awareness? My dad got this bike for me and it means the world.

The description of the man is:
