If four first-rate days of practice are any indication, Scott City High's football team is poised to short-circuit Lutheran North's unlikely playoff run in tonight's Class 2A quarterfinal game in St. Louis."This week has been our best week of practice all season, by far the best week," said Scott City coach Terry Flannigan. "The kids were really locked in. We feel good."As do scores of Scott City partisans."The fans are excited," Flannigan said. "There's a lot of electricity flowing through Scott City right now.'An eight-bus caravan ferrying players, parents, students and other fans will rumble north today on Interstate 55 to Webster Groves High School's Moss Field for the 7 p.m. meeting.
