Dear Editor:

The Meals on Wheels of Committee of Southeast Missouri Hospital would like to take the opportunity to use this forum to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to members of the National Guard for delivering approximately 50 to 60 meals each day for three days this week, Monday, Thursday and Friday.

The Organizational Maintenance Shop No. 3 consisting of the following members delivered the meals this week Sgts. Mike Estes, Cecil Foutch, Mike Ressel, Randy Koehler, Jerry Howard, assisted by civilian Bill Hockman on Monday. Sgt. Ray Donner of the Guard is contacted by a member of the Meals on Wheels Committee on hazardous drving days and he arranges to have drivers to report to Southeast Hospital to replace church volunteers who regularly drive. Centenary Methodist volunteers were able to deliver on Wednesday. The National Guard has always been on call when we have needed them but we particularly wanted to thank them for this very difficult week.

Paul L. Bray,

Meals on Wheels Committee
