THE PUBLIC MIND: WOMAN'S RIGHT TO CHOICE NEEDS PROTECTION

To the Editor:

In lieu of the recent and frightening ruling to abolish a woman's right to pro-choice, I quote directly from a book titled "Abortion Rap" by Diane Schulder and Florynce Kennedy:

"The free opportunity of choice to control their bodies and lives by terminating unwanted pregnancies without interference from the State is a fundamental constitutional right guaranteed to all women, regardless of economic condition."

I would like to add in my own words that I fervently hope we are not heading back in time, that saw the deaths of innumerable female victims to botched, illegal abortions.

It cannot be stressed enough, that abortion never stops, legal or not! When illegal, poor women die!

They will die again, unless this unjust, threatening expulsion of a woman's right to pro-choice is protected!

I pray God it is, and urge others to write their Congressperson!
