LETTERS: JACKSON CANDIDATE FORUM

This article comes from our electronic archive and has not been reviewed. It may contain glitches.

To the editor:

On April 2 we will once more be voting for new members of the Jackson Board of Education. Our votes will be shaping the future of our district. Therefore, they should be educated votes. One way voters can make that educated vote is by marking next Tuesday, March 19, on their calendars so they won't forget to attend the Meet the School Board Candidates Forum. The forum, hosted again this year by the Jacksonian Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, is a tremendous way to gauge the candidates and find out just where they stand on issues that are important to voters and the children of the district.

By attending the forum, you can take part in the process, possibly by asking questions of personal importance, and make a difference. I strongly urge voters to come and take part in this forum with us. While voters are on their way, they can pick up a friend.

The forum will be held in the Jackson Junior High School library. All of the candidates are expected to be in attendance. The moderator for the forum will be Brad Palmer from KZIM.

Again, that's 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson Junior High School. We would like to see as many people there as possible. Let's make this the best forum yet.
