LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: LACK OF ACTION ON OIL PRICES IS INEXCUSABLE

To the editor:

The current oil-price situation is already causing a ripple effect on the U.S. economy. Why has the current administration not been held accountable for this problem? They were either caught totally off guard, or they ignored warning signs and elected to do nothing, either of which is inexcusable.

Why have neither the media nor the Republican Party questioned the vice president on this issue? This country has ample supplies of oil that could be drilled, but the liberal Democrats have pandered to the environmentalist groups to basically shut down oil drilling and exploration in this country.

Unless rapid and prudent measures are taken, this country will find itself in a major economic setback.
