LETTERS: JUDGE'S RULING ISN'T WHAT WE'D EXPECT FROM U.S.

To the editor:

I write in response to Julia Buehrle's Aug. 26 letter, "Judge's order sets frightening scenario for life."

I live in Australia, and like many of my fellow Australians, we look to America for leadership and to set precedents which filter through to us, which we adopt as our own.

So many wonderful things have come to us from the United States. I do not want to hear about this ruling in our beautiful country. Nobody has the right to play God.

I ask a very important question: Since when has it been a crime to be disabled?
