LETTERS: GREAT MEMORIES, BUT ENJOY YOUTH TO ITS VERY FULLEST

To the editor:

Never regret living to a ripe age. You have many blessings. Be thankful for them.

Very vivid recollections of World War I often bear upon me. The enjoyable rides on an open street car in the summertime are nostalgic thoughts. How interesting it is to recall the thrill of listening to the first radio, which could be done only by means of an earphone.

Do you remember what a thrill it was to see the Ringling Brothers circus parade come down Broadway with the many elephants? So much more fills my memory.

It is a certainty that longevity affords many precious and lasting memories. Youth, on the other hand, is beautiful and wonderful. Enjoy it to the fullest, but only in a good and beneficial way.
