With any successful program, the credit is often due to hard-working people behind the scenes. Such was the case with Edythe Davis, who dedicated 22 energetic years to St. Francis Medical Center. Many of those years were spent as a key player on the hospital's administrative team.

Davis' list of accomplishments are long and varied, including community relations and fund-raising. For example, she established the Saint Francis Foundation, a group that has raised more than $7 million over the years. She also began the Friends of St. Francis, now an 800-member booster club for the medical center.

She demonstrates that one person can make a significant difference in the lives of others. Although Davis has retired, she leaves her mark permanently on the medical center.
