Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission, headquartered at Perryville, has received two 1997 innovation awards from the National Association of Development Organizations, for its municipal utility mapping project of all valves and hydrants, and the provision of assistance to local governments in the selection of professional staff and consultants.
