They also offer effective treatments for mosquitoes, flies, bed bugs, brown recluse spiders and termites -- treatments that are bad for bugs and safe for humans and pets. Or, if you can't be home to let the technician in, you can switch to external protection every-other month.

Being an existing Advanced Pest Control customer has its privileges: they are preparing to launch a termite protection discount program of up to 50 percent off for existing customers, according to Gary Schuessler, who owns the company with his parents, Gene and Dorothy.
