House Game Day at Guardian Angel School

Courtney Dirnberger, Michael Eftink, Eva LeGrand, and Lawson Hahn work swiftly to put their puzzle pieces together for St. Raphael's team.

The archangel houses at Guardian Angel School in Oran had their first house competition for the school year on Wednesday, September 19. Points were awarded to the teams according to how they each placed in the race. The first game was "Breakfast Scramble". In this game, 4 members of each house had to put a puzzle of a cereal box together. The next game was "Tic Tac Toe". It involved 9 hoola hoops laid on the floor in the tic tac toe position. This was a relay of 4 team members competing against 4 members of another house, each player throwing a towel in the middle of a hoola hoop until a tic tac toe was achieved. A player could move a towel's position that a team member had placed. The best of 2 out of 3 games was the winner. Then the remaining 2 teams competed for a winner. Those 2 winners competed to be the first place team. The last game was "A Little Dicey". Four players of each house took turns putting a tongue depressor in his/her mouth and the other 3 team members had to stack 5 dice on the depressor, with the dice having to stay in place to a count of 3. Uriel's team earned the most points and came in 1st place, with Raphael in second, Michael in third, and Gabriel in fourth. All the house members had a fun time at the first house game day.
