BALLWIN, MO – The Missouri Library Association (MLA) is pleased to announce that earlier this year it received an anonymous gift of over $825,000 intended to be used for the purpose of promoting library services related to computers and internet access to library patrons. This gift has been placed in an interest-bearing account while MLA establishes an endowment that will serve the organization for years to come.

“My mind is whirling with ideas about how to use these funds to strengthen our organization and ultimately help Missouri libraries better serve our patrons,” said April Roy, President of MLA.

The MLA annual conference, which will be held in October in Columbia, MO, will include information sessions to gather feedback from MLA members on how best to use the income generated by this new endowment.
