Middle Earth Mechanics Robotic Team Heads to Super Regional Competition In Athens, GA

The Robotics team won the Think Award at the SEMO Qualifier

The Middle Earth Mechanics, a homeschool FIRST Tech Challenge ( FTC) Robotics team from the Cape Girardeau area, will compete at the Super Regionals in Athens, GA March 8 – 10th, 2018. They will be one of 72 teams competing for the chance to advance to the World Competition April 18 – 21st in Houston, Texas. The Middle Earth Mechanics qualified to advance at the Missouri State Robotics Championship held February 24th, 2018 at Missouri S & T in Rolla, MO. They finished second in their division and advanced to the division finals. Their performance at the state competition earned them one of the 11 spots for Missouri teams to advance to the Super Regional Competition. One of their mentors, Brian Criddle received the Compass Award. He was nominated by the team through the video they made and submitted. The team is very grateful for Brian’s dedication and mentoring. The team is excited about their trip to Athens and is thankful for all the help of their mentors and support from their sponsors.
