Catholic Schools Week was celebrated at Guardian Angel School in Oran from January 28 through February 2. The week began with an all school Mass on Sunday, followed by the opening of the book fair in the library. The book fair ran all week. On Monday, the students came to school in their pajamas and were served breakfast by their teachers. Tuesday was the students chance to support their school by wearing GA, ND, or OHS t-shirts. They could also wear hats after Mass. The parents and grandparents of the students came to school on Wednesday and had chili & cinnamon rolls with their children for lunch. In the afternoon, the students played bingo for some cool prizes. On Thursday, the classes took turns going to adoration and prayed as a class for vocations. The week ended with the entire school going bowling at West Park Lanes on Friday. When they returned to school at noon, they were dismissed for the day. Catholic Schools Week is a time to celebrate our Catholic school system and everyone who supports it.
