Sisters have one last photo shoot at Jackson High School

Front entrance of Jackson High School

On Sunday afternoon, June 11, 2017 sisters, JoAnna Sachse Peek and Dortha Sachse Strack, were taken to the Old Jackson High School for one last look at the building and some reminiscing of their high school days. The sisters are alumni of the class of 1949. JW Strack, (better known to the family as Jo Wayne), son of Dortha, and nephew of JoAnna mentioned to the sisters that he would be helping to demolish the school and that if they wanted a picture they better go by. My sister, Sandy, and I loaded them up in the car and headed to Jackson. Both were quite eager to have one last picture taken in front of the High School. They talked about where this class was, the teachers, and "my things look so different," "where is the auditorium?" We could tell they had some good memories of their high school years in the late 1940s.
