PHS seniors honored at Profiles in Excellence

Patricia Wichern of Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presents a scholarship to PHS senior Austin Hotop during the Profiles In Excellence awards ceremony held May 19.

The Profiles in Excellence awards ceremony was held May 19 at Perry Park Center, where Perryville High School's Class of 2017 received more than $750,000 in scholarships, from local organizations and businesses, colleges and universities, and the A+ Program.

The Top 10 graduates at Perryville High School for the Class of 2017 were presented with medals and include Pohlman and Vernon, Madelynne Childers, Holly Clifton, Lydia Cook, Alison DeOliveira, Emma Derickson, Austin Hotop, Peyton Kontomook and Alexander Laws.

The George Washington Carver Award was presented to those students who were in the Top 10 percent of the senior class.
