What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

Thirty years experience in public education as a classroom teacher has given me the background to understand the needs of students. It has also provided me the knowledge to understand the constraints a district must adhere to and the challenges faced in providing a quality education to our youth in today's world.

What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?

Oak Ridge provides opportunities for kids to learn and grow in a positive learning environment with close student/teacher relationships where each child is targeted and monitored for success. Challenges of the district are utilizing available funds to provide faculty and students with current resources and managing the districts growth.

How will you communicate your work to your constituents?

I will communicate by being involved in school and community activities, social media and personal time given as needed.

What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?

My decisions will be based on what's best for the district to be successful in providing a quality education in order for all students to become productive citizens in our world today.
