Cape Girardeau — Burrito-Ville, a locally owned and operated business, donated $300 to the Safe House for Women and their capital campaign.

Burrito-Ville held a #GiveBacktoCape fundraiser on October 14 from 5-10 p.m., donating 10 percent of all sales, with customers helping to raise $303.54. The event included meet and greets with the Safe House for Women’s director and supporting staff, and a model participating in the VintageNOW fashion show.

Currently, The Safe House for Women aims to provide services such as emergency shelter, crisis intervention, case management, counseling and court advocacy through their confidential shelter and outreach office. The capital campaign, for which funds were being raised at the #GiveBacktoCape event, is an important asset to the local community and will assist in helping to build a larger and more accessible shelter.

Burrito-Ville holds their #GiveBacktoCape events in support of local organizations. You must be a local charity to be considered.
