Best Bet: Halloween party planned at Oliver House

A Victorian Halloween party will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver House, 224 E. Adams St. in Jackson. The event will include activities for the whole family, such as face painting, pumpkin painting, games and more. There will be a variety of refreshments, and the house will be decorated to include an 1800s wake display with a coffin and a seance in the family parlor. General admission to tour the house and for refreshments is $5. Tickets for games and activities will be sold separately and will cost $1 each or $10 for 12.
