Burrito-Ville hosts #GiveBacktoCape event for The Safe House for Women

CAPE GIRARDEAU— Local restaurant, Burrito-Ville, will hold a #GiveBacktoCape fundraising event on October 14 from 5-10 p.m. in support of The Safe House for Women.

During Burrito-Ville’s #GiveBacktoCape event, 10 percent of all sales will be donated from 5-10 p.m., including food, gift certificates, t-shirts, beverages and alcohol. The money raised will go towards The Safe House for Women’s capital campaign fund to build a larger and more accessible shelter.

The Safe House for Women is a nonprofit agency that has provided safe shelter and support services to women and children who have experienced domestic violence for the past 25 years, said Safe House for Women Executive Director Jessica Hill.

“We also provide services such as emergency shelter, crisis intervention, case management, counseling and court advocacy through our confidential shelter and outreach office,” Hill said.

When commenting on the capital campaign and the future of The Safe House for Women she stated “Our vision is a community that lives free from abuse and violence.”

Attendees at the #GiveBacktoCape fundraising event can expect to have great food and mingle with models from the up-coming VintageNOW 7 fashion show, which benefts The Safe House for Women. Attendees also will be able to purchase tickets for the VintageNOW event taking place on Saturday, October 22.
