Cape Central's Sports Hall of Fame recent inductees

At a ceremony on September 9, 2016, the Cape Central High School inducted the following three former athletes into its Hall of Fame.

Jill Chong (1985-1988) became the highest finisher from any Central girls tennis team. Jill was successful from her Freshman year on. Her Senior year, Jill defended her District title in singles, went undefeated during the regular season in singles, with a 10-0 record while setting a record of 7-1 in doubles.

Felicia Ford (1989-1992) broke records in track and cross country and was the first female athlete to win four medals at a State Track Meet. (When Felicia was a child her mother was told by doctors that Felicia would never be able to walk.) Felicia was awarded the first annual Darla Pannier Memorial Scholarship. Felicia earned a track scholarship to Murray State and was successful there also.

Kim Hager Train (1981-1984)earned eight varsity letters while at Central in track, cross country, basketball and volleyball. In basketball her Senior year she had double digits in both points and rebounds in every game. Kim was the first recipient of the Bob Gray Award for the most outstanding player in the Southeast Conference. She also received the Female Athlete of the year award and was the female athlete with the highest grade point average.
