Making a difference

Bryce, Alisha and Cassie lead the walk at Bark in the Park

Bryce is 8 years old and loves helping the animals at the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri. This year was his third year participating in HSSEMO's annual event, Bark In the Park. Each year Bryce works to raise money for the walk at this event. In 2014, Bryce raised $500. In 2015 he raised $700 and this year he turned in an unbelievable $835 that he raised by asking for sponsorship from friends and family!

Bryce is also a third grader at Nell Holcomb and his class, along with the other third-grade class, had a little fun filling "coin containers" that Bryce made to see how much money the students could raise for the event. There are 31 third graders and together they collected $225! They will enjoy pizza and ice cream in a few weeks for their amazing efforts!

So, on Saturday at Bark in the Park, Bryce handed over $1,060 to Charlotte Craig with HSSEMO, because he loves helping the animals and because he got his classmates excited to help as well!

Every one of us can make a difference if we just decide to do so and then get out there and get busy! Together we can do great things!
