Rev. Harth attends police chaplain training

Rev. John Harth, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in Jackson, was among 300 chaplains from seven nations to attend the International Conference of Police Chaplains Annual Training Seminar July 11 to 15 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Courses covered a wide variety of law enforcement topics; Harth received specialized training in dealing with military veterans in crisis, suicide by cop, encouraging spouses/significant others, and more. Harth serves the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Cape Girardeau County Chaplains Unit, the Bollinger and Scott County sheriff's offices, the Kelso and Oran, Missouri, police departments, Jackson Fire/Rescue and the Cape Girardeau County Emergency Management Agency. He has been involved in emergency services chaplaincy since 1987.
