What do you see as the county commission's role in economic development in Perry County?

Most important, stay in touch with citizens in your district. Be available 24/7, listen to their need, gather information and statistics to make decisions that benefit all involved. Be able to work with other commissioners to achieve, develop and maintain the county needs. discover ways to improve the infrastructure of the county to attract new businesses. Reducing unemployment will create more revenue for county growth and expansion. Extra taxes will create more revenue for improvements.

What are the major challenges facing Perry County?

Repair roads, bridges, ditches and culverts with materials that will require less maintenance and upkeep. Maintain current equipment and purchase additional when necessary. Complete the renovation of the county court house in a timely manner. Maintain and repair the needs of other county buildings.

What in your background or education makes you qualified to be Perry County commissioner?

Life long resident of Perry County, ran a successful business for 30+ years solving problems, budgeting money plus hiring and training sales people.

Have worked as an organizer for a local major fund raiser (NRA) for many years. I am familiar with all areas of Perry County. I'm a people person, loyal, business minded, dedicated, trustworthy, honest, good listener and committed to take on challenges.

Closing remarks

More and more people are moving to rural areas and don't always think they are getting the best service for their tax dollars. I want to see all citizens treated fair. My goal is to make Perry County a better place to work, live and raise a family.
