Best Bet: Annual Sweetcorn Festival planned this weekend

The 42nd annual East Prairie Sweetcorn Festival will begin at 5:30 p.m. today and continue at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the downtown gazebo at Washington and Main streets in East Prairie, Missouri. The weekend will kick off with a block party Friday night with live music from The Boomers, carnival rides, food and more. The Tour de Corn Bike Ride will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Carnival rides, pig races, camel and pony rides, food and more will be available until 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information about the event, visit epmochamber.org or call (573) 649-5243.
