“Warriors of Hope” at SoutheastHEALTH have donated $10,000 to the SoutheastHEALTH Foundation to help make “We Can Weekend” possible for cancer patients and their families.

The warriors, employees at Southeast Cancer Center, raised the funds through various benefit projects, including a St. Patrick’s dinner auction.

“We Can Weekend” helps couples and families reconnect and focus on the importance of celebrating and enjoying life. Throughout the course of the weekend, held in the Ozarks along the banks of Sunnen Lake, tools and hands-on learning are provided for everyone in the family while enjoying plenty of free time with each other.

The event is tailored to meet the needs of adults who have been diagnosed with cancer within the last year; are currently undergoing treatment for cancer; or have recently completed treatment for cancer.

“We Can Weekend” is facilitated by trained staff of Southeast Cancer Center and SoutheastHEALTH, including physicians, nurses, radiation therapists, social workers, counselors and associated professionals.

The event is made possible through donations of generous individuals who contribute to the “We Can Weekend” fund of the Southeast Foundation.
