What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?

My 26+ years in the utility industry has provided a tremendous amount of experience in leadership and managing multi-million dollar budgets. I understand the importance of accountability, transparency and integrity in in an organization. I will bring my experience and values to Kelly and work hard to make it a top performing district. I also have a B.S. in Chemistry from MSSU along with a M.B.A from William Woods that provides a solid foundation.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing your school district?

I believe, as in all organizations the challenge is to continually improve. At Kelly, this means high academic standards in a safe environment well-suited for learning. Due to limited resources, this means raising the bar through innovation and getting out of your comfort zone by trying new ideas that are shared with the community and staff as a whole.

If elected, do you have any plans for improving the school district?

My business experience as well as being a father of two Kelly students has taught me the importance of communication between parents, students, faculty and administration. As a member of the school board, I will strive to ensure that our district provides the best educational environment for learning in order to ensure every student is well-prepared for the next stages in life.
