Zachary Bynum nominated his employer, Chris Koehler, President of Koehler Engineering and Surveying for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO -- Missouri Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense (DoD) office, announced that Koehler Engineering and Surveying, Inc., was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of its employees serving in the National Guard and Reserves.

President Chris Koehler was nominated for the award by Zachary Bynum, a land surveyor assistant for Koehler, and a Sergeant in the 1221st Transportation Company, Missouri Army National Guard, in Sikeston.

“Chris understands my commitment and gives me the needed time off for my military training,” says Zachary.

Koehler Engineering and Surveying, Inc., has been providing professional engineering, land surveying, construction inspection and materials testing in the region for nearly 40 years. “We are blessed to live and work in Southeast Missouri, and are thankful for our friends, business relationships, and the clients that we serve.”

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Admiral Lee Metcalf (Ret.), Missouri ESGR State Chair. “Supportive employers are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”
