6 dogs run on interstate after car chase

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Highway Patrol officers chased down six dogs that jumped into highway lanes after a car chase. CHP officer Francisco Villalobos said officers pulled up Monday night behind a Mercedes parked on the shoulder in Orange County. The driver took off, leading officers on a pursuit that ended when a trooper's vehicle knocked the Mercedes sideways on Interstate 710 in Long Beach. As the driver was taken into custody, her six dogs jumped out of the car and ran into lanes.
