Heartland Advanced Practice Nurses Network (HAPNN) recently presented a $1,000 check to Saint Francis Medical Center in support of the Saint Francis Institute for Nursing Excellence, a program designed to strengthen the nursing practice, promote nursing importance and recognize professional nursing achievements. HAPNN formed in 1996 to provide nurse practitioners with networking opportunities.

The Saint Francis Institute for Nursing Excellence is committed to education, research and clinical investigation, professional and community outreach, clinical competence, innovation, and professional development. HAPNN serves as a professional resource providing nurse practitioners and clinical nurses with educational opportunities and increasing community awareness about the profession.
