Sunday Service at Old McKendree Chapel

Dr. Frank Nickell will be guest speaker at the 79th annual service at Old McKendree Chapel Sunday, September 27, at 3 p.m. Dr. Nickell is assistant director of The State Historical Society of the Missouri Research Center in Cape Girardeau and an emeritus faculty member of the Department of History at Southeast Missouri State University.

The service will commemorate the 206th year since the organization of Old McKendree Chapel and the 196th year of the building of the chapel itself.

The Board of Directors of the McKendree Chapel Memorial Association invites the public to attend and bring along a lawn chair. Special music will be provided by the Barefoot on Sunday group comprised of David Giles, Terry Wright, Roxanne Dean and Steve Jordan.
