Infant guilty of father's sin?

After the Republican debate, I saw Hillary Clinton on television telling her thoughts on the debate. As I understood her, she was appalled that one of the Republican candidates said that he was pro-life in every way, even in the case of rape or health of the mother.

She seemed to think that somehow this was an affront to American women. I suppose that she does not believe in one of the 10 commandments that says, "Thou shalt not kill," or in the Declaration of Independence that says "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

If a child is conceived during a rape, does this make the infant guilty of the crime of his father and deserve the death penalty? Are we to play God and try to cure the mother by sacrificing her child?

It is hard for me to believe that anyone today does not know (deep down) that an unborn child is truly human. Abortion for some is an easy way out and they think they will have a better life.

I am not a student of history or earlier civilizations, but I know that there have been human sacrifices. They sacrificed human life to the gods so they would have a better life. Are we different today? Are we not sacrificing our unborn so we will have a better life?

Let our country get back to basic morality and respect all life -- even the helpless and unborn.
