Best Bet: Making leather jewelry

Native Americans used every part of the animals they harvested, sometimes using the hide to make leather jewelry. This free program, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center, lets participants try their hands at making animal and plant-related or American Indian jewelry from leather.
